Weekend Randomness...

1. I love this little punk...

2. Mack got some new shoes. He is becoming quite attached. We are wearing them a lot...

Sometimes even when shoes are not necessary...

And we like to taste them at times....ick...

3. Radley took up Monkey wrestling...

Radley won...

That crab better watch out!

I expect to hear from PETA any moment now...

4. Mack - Pencil - Wall - do I need to say more? God bless the Magic Eraser...

5. Tunnel + Radley + Mack = hours of fun...Radley's first time through! Loved it!

Then the collisions and pile ups started and yes, we have more tunnels, but this was much more fun.....UH-OH!

Baby/Toddler chicken...

Fun times...

Radley: "This is awsome!.."

Mack: "Yes, it is!"

6. Maverick tried and liked his first Mochi at the Chinese New Year Festival at the Huntington Gardens. It did not hurt that it was chocolate covered...I am thinking chocolate covered anything would rate as "good" in his book...

7. He also found it nearly impossible to keep his feet on the ground. I was very aware that there was a high probability that I would have to fish him out of the pond...

8. More from the Chinese New Year Festival at the Gardens...fun paths to follow

beautiful trees in bloom...

ducks....

and rocks to climb....(note the previously mentioned shoes...)

9. Maverick still loves apples....possibly his favorite food...well, that or cake...

Really? This starts now????

10. Practicing hugging....a very important skill...

11. Tree hugging...

12. Mack and the Giant Pink Unicorn...

13. Have I mentioned how much I love this kid?

14. Oh and this rascal too...

Radley Soup

So today was one of my favorite days. On Friday's I use my lunch hour to take Radley to a super fun high sensory baby class - Outside the Box for Babies, taught by one of my favorite ladies that just happened to be in attendance for the birth of both my boys. Anyway, I digress. Today I had no camera...but God bless the iphone. And I was able to get a bunch of photos of my Radley Soup (millions of beans)...don't you just want to eat him up????

He had a definite opinion on the matter....

At which point the class busted out laughing...

That little Rascal.... And people think you are my Silent Gentle Giant....little do they know that I get to hear that screaming all the time around here. Actually as I write this you are sounding very much like your video in the living room. I have no idea why you are so worked up, but you sound like you are having a ball. In a few minutes I get to close up shop for the weekend and spend it with my 2 best guys.

What a fun hour...I love my special Friday's with you little man.

Airplane!

I have lived in this house for a little over 5 years now and never once during that time was I aware of the sound of airplanes flying overhead....until I had a two year old who apparently was born with a special gift of super-sonic hearing that allows him to hear planes at altitudes that normal people would never ever hear....from inside or outside the house. And Lord help us if we are inside, because then we must stop what we are doing immediately and go outside quickly to try to find the airplane high in the sky....way, way high...

As a result and trying to come up with new and fun activities appropriate for a 2 year old and 8 month old, I thought it would be fun to take the boys down to LAX for the sole purpose of watching the planes come and go a little closer than 20,000 feet+. Fortunately there are several places around that are good for that sort of thing so we grabbed a blanket, some snacks and our enthusiasm and spent a good couple of hours plane spotting.

This was sooooo your sort of thing and a huge hit. I see more trips to see airplanes in my future and definitely allowing a bit of extra time when picking up friends and family that come to visit to allow a little park time before they get here.

The big international planes were breathtakingly close...but so very cool...

Radley mostly liked playing with the Cheerios...

And apparently some non infant approved sharp pointy sticks...

You had soooo much fun...

And Yogurt Melts are always appreciated...

And a stroll around the small park in between landings...

Plane spotting is also very very exhausting work...
