Thanksgiving 2010::::::::
We went.
We loved.
We laughed.
We cried.
We gave thanks for our many blessings.
We got sick.
We got worn out...
Thanksgiving was a brilliant dichotomy of wonderful warm fuzzy love and puny sickly oh-my-goodness-I-can't-believe-we-are-so-sick icky-ness. Giggles and snuggles blended with sniffles and other unpleasantries, but it was Thanksgiving 2010 and we made it through. Now we are back to rest, recharge and recover and reconnect before we do it all again in a couple weeks for the most wonderful time of the year, as they say.
And although late, I am thankful for many many things:::::::::::
- my healthy babies and these girls I love...
-warm fires on cold country nights (and crazy man-techniques to get them started)...
- and babies learning to warm their hands by the fire...
- modern entertainment on road trips...
- the joy of a simple tray of facepaint and cousin creativity...
- Bella, sweet Bella
- Babies with Kittens...
- New bikes & sidewalk chalk body outlines...
- Sleepy sick babies...
- Our new home on the range...with a breathtaking view across the Texas landscape...
- Babies in jeans and boots...be still my heart...
- Silliness...
- and most of all...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...freely flowing and filling us all...
And now we move on to Christmas...to the magic and wonder of the season. Hands down, this is my favorite time of the year. And with these two little wonders, it has reached epic proportions of bliss. Advent calendars have been filled. Shopping has been done. And now I can focus on how to make memorable and special traditions for our family and lay the foundation of holiday memories in the minds of my two precious little boys.
This was a good start...
Bring on the tinsel, Santa, Christmas carols, holiday TV specials, joy, wonder and love...we are so ready...
