Well, now, that weekend was just glorious. It was chock full of everything that makes October wonderful. It was kind of a go big or go home way to tackle the weekend. One harvest festival, one wonderfully cheesy corner pumpkin lot and one pumpkin festival. Add in a few dashes of roasted corn, caramel apples, tractors,, bouncy things and lots of love, frinds and fun and we are almost ready for the October Grand Finale...the culmination of all these harvest-centric activities. There still are a few more things to tick off the "to do" list in the next couple of week or so, but this weekend filled my Autumn-loving soul very nicely.
But to kick things off Radley fell asleep literally 8 minutes before we arrived at our first Harvest Festival...
Though you have long ago abandoned your "apple a day" habit, you still love them and on this day you got your first taste of a caramel apple...a perfect fall treat. You seemed to enjoy it...LOL...
...you demolished the sucker.
Radley tried hard, but with only 6 teeth and 3 half teeth he was not quite ready.
I could barely pull you out of this 2000lb bean pit.
Radley rode his first pony (and 2nd later the same day),
Rode crazy bouncy snaking wagon rides that made us all squeal!
Had some fun with Radley's buddy, Jack.
Climbed on tractors:::
But he did love some corn...until he gnawed himself to sleep after expressing his displeasure that we were not leaving just yet.
And of course the obligatory PUMPKIN PHOTOS!
And I was informed we were done...
I lost you in this for about an hour later that evening...
while Raddles and I hung out and ate raisins...
Stinky dirty petting zoo's, but oh how you love them...and this was Radley's first petting zoo. He had no fear.
OK..exhausted and falling asleep at the keyboard. More tomorrow!!!
Tomorrow, we are making our annual October migration to Disneyland Halloween-time and are going to try our hand at a late night for all of us out together. Place you bets on whether I will lose my sanity or not.
